Selden CX Code 0 System

The Selden CX is a proven furling system specifically developed for Code 0 sails. The anti-torsion cable (AT-cable) is integrated in the luff of the sail and connects the drum to the halyard swivel via thimbles. This ensures uniform furling across the entire luff length.

Construction and features

  • Duplex stainless steel construction - All structural parts are high-strength Duplex stainless steel for low weight and high strength
  • Sealed steel bearings - In both drum and halyard swivel for long service life
  • Metal teeth in the drum - Good line grip during furling
  • Wedge-shaped line guide - Separates the line from the drum when unfurling so the drum spins freely
  • Rubber fender - Protects the halyard swivel from chafing the mast
  • Spring-loaded lock - Easy connection of thimbles to drum and halyard swivel
  • Glass fibre reinforced polyamide - Impact-resistant non-structural parts

Four models available

  • CX-10 - SWL 1,000kg | Max 50m² | Drum Ø105mm | Boats up to approx. 5 tonnes
  • CX-15 - SWL 1,500kg | Max 80m² | Drum Ø120mm | Boats up to approx. 7.7 tonnes
  • CX-25 - SWL 2,500kg | Max 115m² | Drum Ø150mm | Boats up to approx. 14 tonnes

The CX can also be combined with a Free Tack Adapter and GX halyard swivel for top-down furling of a gennaker. This way you use a single system for both Code 0 and gennaker.
